           Cardio & Resistance Training

Discovering later in life that cardiorespiratory fitness and resistance training offered much more than aesthetic benefits, including prevention and treatment of chronic illnesses and depression, I decided to become a personal trainer with the American College of Sports Medicine, regarded as one of the best schools in sports medicine, and aimed to share that health is wealth.  ACSM recommends 150 minutes per week of cardiorespiratory exercise and at least 2 days of resistance training just to maintain health.  Anything over this amount only offers more benefits.  Whether you are new to cardio and weight training, resuming training after taking a break to focus on other endeavors, such as career or family, or an elite athlete wanting to take your training to the next level, I have the knowledge and skills to help you reach your goals.

           Yoga

The Oxford Dictionary defines yoga as a Hindu spiritual and ascetic discipline, a part of which, including breath control, simple meditation, and the adoption of specific bodily postures, is widely practiced for health and relaxation. Since the early 1900’s, yoga but has been practiced independently in Western cultures to promote physical and emotional well-being.  I earned my Natural Teacher Training from two of the most experienced, thoughtful, and skillful teachers in Charleston, Andrea Boyd and Jeffrey Cohen.  No matter your reason for practicing, yoga is a great way to stretch and strengthen your body, focus your mind, and relax your spirit.
