About Me

I’m 54 years old, southern born and raised on fried food and more than my share of sedentary behaviors. I didn’t play sports as a child, but developed a passion for bodybuilding at 13. I have never stopped pumping iron since. I started running when trying to lose weight after the birth of my first child and was immediately hooked on how good it made me feel. Later in life, I started practicing yoga when wanting to increase my flexibility and discovered the interconnectedness of health and spirituality. After working as a paralegal for over 20 years, I took a leap of faith and changed careers, following my dream of sharing with others the benefits of exercise. I changed my diet considerably in 2011 while studying anatomy and physiology, and, as an unintended result, lowered my body fat percentage, triglycerides and cholesterol. Consequently, nutrition has become an important aspect of my health and wellness journey. I continue to study and practice holistic approaches to balance the mind-body-soul connection. I believe everything is connected and how we move, eat and think affects our health and wellbeing. I am passionate about fitness and sharing everything I have learned. It makes me happy when clients see changes in their lives as a result of the commitments they make in regards to their health and wellness.
I love to spend my free time exercising, trying new healthy recipes, listening to music and reading, sharing time with my daughters, and spoiling my Golden Retriever, Lani.
